As an order picker at Sligro, you'll be working in a cooled warehouse in Veghel. The warehouse has several departments with different temperatures and varying salaries. The cooler your department, the higher your salary.

You'll be responsible for collecting orders from the right departments of the warehouse, receiving orders through voice-pick. Because the company is active in the food sector, everything is carried out according to HACCP guidelines. The products can vary in weight, so it is important that you can lift heavier packages if necessary.

It's important that you're a team player because - together with your colleagues - you make sure that the orders are neatly and completely prepared for transport. The warehouse process consists of three parts: inbound, outbound and formation.
At inbound, you deal with incoming goods. External suppliers bring in products, which must be placed in the right place in the warehouse. Outbound is the process of collecting orders. Finally, formation ensures that the orders leaving the warehouse are on the right route to the right customer.

There are three types of warehouses with different temperatures:

• Dry groceries: at 15°C
• Cold rooms: 2°C
• Freezer: -18/-20°C

If you work in the freezer, you receive special protective clothing and extra paid breaks.

What do you bring?

• You have your own transport and housing near Veghel
• You speak intermediate or better English or Dutch (B1 or better)
• You have working experience in the food industry
• You're an experienced order picker
• No problems with working in extreme cold -18°C for a higher salary
• Valid EPT/reach truck/forklift certificates are a plus
• You're accurate, work carefully, and are a good multitasker
• You're willing to work evenings or weekends (for a higher salary)
• You're looking for a long term job
• You have a reliable appearance at work
• You have a clean criminal record (VOG)

Remarks

Sligro Food Group consists - besides Foodservice and Food retail - of a number of production companies where high-quality food is produced. The buying, selling, sales, and logistic processes are monitored by central management and then forwarded via the SLIGRO logistic systems. Each facility is managed by a Site Manager who takes part in a higher Management Team of Production Facilities.

Cantine facilities are really super good! Great salad bars, snacks, sandwiches, soups, etc against very low prices. There are over 40.000 different article numbers, so order picking is never boring.
