Job description

Kick-start your warehouse career by taking this job as an unloader of rolling containers! No warehouse experience needed.

You'll load and unload rolling containers at the incoming goods department. If needed, you're available to help your colleagues with other warehouse tasks. The warehouse is quite new and has modern facilities, like a wonderful canteen with fresh products for low prices. When working the afternoon shift, you receive a free meal.

Working hours (subject to change):
06:00-15:00
15:00-00:00 (free meal)

What do you bring?

• You know at least intermediate English or Dutch (B1 or better)
• Drivers license category B preferred
• You're available to work here for a long time
• You're not afraid of a physical job, comparable or lighter than unloading a shipping container
• You're able to occasionally lift packages of up to 30 kg
• You're friendly and a team player

Remarks

This company is a fast-growing non-food discounter with Dutch roots. It sells low-budget products and operates more than 1.500 stores spread over eight countries in Europe. As the company continues to grow, new employees are continuously needed and good employees are promoted to higher functions. The company is owned by the British investment company 3i. The head office is still in the Netherlands.

The company started in 1993 as a small shop in Enkhuizen started by Gerard Deen and Rob Wagemaker. Boris Deen was added later. In 1994 the chain expanded with a further five stores to reach 94 stores in 2002. The first store in Flanders (Rijkevorsel) was opened in 2005, followed in 2009 by the first store in Germany. The first branch came to Poland in 2017. Since 2020 this company has around 1.500 stores in Europe.

The retail chain operates mainly at the bottom of the market: in the low-price range. The offered items vary quickly. The company says it wants to surprise the customer time and again. Their product range consists of 1500 fixed items, the rest changes ever so often.
